Change port in Outlook 2016/ 2013
- Go to File > Info.
- Click Account Settings, then click the drop-down button titled Account Settings.
- In the pop-up window make sure you're on the E-mail tab.
- Select your email account from the list, then click Change button.
- A new window will appear, make sure that your Incoming and Outgoing mail server are mail.yourdomain.
- Click More Settings button.
- In the Internet Email Setting window , select the ‘Outgoing Server‘ tab.
- Make sure that ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication‘ is ticked.
- Make sure that ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’ is selected.
- Select the ‘Advanced‘ tab. In the ‘Incoming server’ section, make sure that:
- ‘Use the following type of encrypted connection’ is SSL.
- ‘Incoming server (IMAP)‘ port field is set to ‘993’ if you are using IMAP, and ‘995’ if you are using POP3.
- In the ‘Outgoing server’ section, make sure that:
- ‘Use the following type of encrypted connection’ is SSL
- ‘Outgoing server (SMTP)‘ port field is set to ‘465’.
- Click OK.
Test new settings
- Click on ‘Test Account Settings’.
- Wait for the account sitting test to complete.
- If the test completed successfully, click on ‘Close’ > ‘Finish’, and you can use your email normally. Otherwise, submit a support ticket and send us a screenshot of your email sittings and the error you get.
Change port in Outlook 2010
- Go to File > Add Account.
- Enter your name, email and password,
- Make sure that Manually configure server settings or additional server types is selected, then click Next.
- In the pop-up window Choose Service, make sure to select POP or IMAP, then click Next.
- In the pop-up window POP and IMAP Account Settings, enter the following:
Enter your name as you want it to appear in outgoing emails. Your Name Enter your full email address Email Address IMAP Account Type mail.yourdomain.com Incoming Mail Server mail.yourdomain.com Outgoing Mail Server Enter your full email address User Name Enter your password Password - Click More Settings Button.
- Click Outgoing Server tab.
- Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box.
- Make sure to use the same incoming mail server settings.
- If you are using POP3 and want to keep a copy of your messages on the server, under delivery, click the Advanced tab and select Leave a copy of messages on the server. If you do not select this option, all messages will be removed from the server and stored locally on your computer.
- Click OK.
- Click Next.
- If you entered everything correctly, both tasks will be completed successfully and you can close the window and click Next.
- Click Finish.
Change port in Outlook 2007
- Go to Tools > Account Settings.
- The Account Settings window will appear, select your email from the list.
- Click Change.
- In the Change E-mail Account window, make sure that the address of the Incoming and Outgoing e-mail server is in this format <mail.<yourdomain.
- Click More Settings button.
- Select Outgoing Server tab, then make sure of the following:
- Make sure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is selected
- Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server
- Select Advanced tab.
- Configure the Incoming server settings as follows:
- Select SSL from the Connection Protection Type list
- Change the Incoming server port to 993 if you are using IMAP
- Change the Incoming server port to 995 if you are using POP3
- Configure the Outgoing server settings as follows:
- Select SSL from the Connection Protection Type list
- Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port to 465.
- Click OK.
- Click Test Account Settings.
- Wait for the account sitting test to complete.
- If the test completed successfully, click on ‘Close’ > ‘Finish’, and you can use your email normally. Otherwise, submit a support ticket and send us a screenshot of your email sittings and the error you get.
