Configure email account in Outlook 2019

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2019 on your device.
  2. If you don't have any mailboxes added yet, you will see the Account Information page. Click the +Add Account button there.
  3. If you have mailboxes set up already, go to File tab >> Info >>Account Information and click the +Add Account button.
  4. Enter your Email address and your password and click Connect.
Setup manually

If you are not able to proceed, you may need to repeat the process using the manual setup. The detailed instructions can be found below.

  1.  Select the Change account settings option and click Next. On the next page, select the POP or IMAP option and then click Next.
  2. If you choose IMAP account setup, enter the following mailbox and server details:
    • Incoming mail server:  server your account is hosted on, as mail.domain.tld (For example: mail.example.net)
    • Incoming mail port: 993 (or 143 with STARTTLS)
    • Encryption method: SSL/TLS (or STARTTLS if 143 port is used)
    • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): should be unchecked
    • Outgoing mail server: server your account is hosted on, as mail.domain.tld (For example: mail.example.net)
    • Outgoing mail port: 465 (or 587 with STARTTLS)
    • Encryption method: SSL/TLS (or STARTTLS if 587 port is used)
    • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): should be unchecked
  3.  If you choose POP account setup, enter the following mailbox and server details:
    • Incoming mail server: server your account is hosted on, as mail.domain.tld (For example: mail.example.net)
    • Incoming mail port: 995
    • This server requires an encrypted connection(SSL/TLS): should be checked
    • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): should be unchecked
    • Outgoing mail server: server your account is hosted on, as mail.domain.tld (For example: mail.example.net)
    • Outgoing mail port: 465 (or 587 with STARTTLS)
    • Encryption method: SSL/TLS (or STARTTLS if 587 port is used)
    • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): should be unchecked
  4.  Once all details are filled in, click Next.
  5. After that, type in your password for this email address and click Connect.

Configure email account in Outlook 2010/2013/2016

There are many different types of email accounts that you can add to Outlook. These steps are the same whether you are adding your first email account or additional email accounts to Outlook.

  1. Go to File> Info
  2. In the Info category, select Account Settings > Account Settings in the dropdown
  3. On the Email tab, select New
  4. In the Add New Account dialogue box, ensure that your incoming and outgoing mail server is mail.yourdomain
  5. Click on More Settings button
  6. In the Internet Email Setting dialogue box, click the Outgoing Server tab
  7. Check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox
  8. Check the Use same settings as my incoming mail server checkbox
  9. Click on the Advanced tab, in the Incoming server section, make sure of the following:
    •  make sure SSL is selected in the Use the following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu
    • In the Incoming server IMAP, enter in the port field 993 if you use IMAP, or 995 if you use POP3

10. In the Outgoing server tap, make sure of the following:

    •  make sure SSL is selected in the Use the following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu
    • In the Outgoing server, SMTP field enter in port 465 field

11. Click OK

  Test new settings

  1. From the Change Email Account dialog box, click the Test Account Settings button, wait for the test to complete.
  2. If the test is successfully done, click Close> Finish, and you can use your email normally. Otherwise, submit a support ticket and send us a screenshot of the email settings and the error you get.

Configure email account in Outlook 2007

  1. Start Outlook 2007
  2. From the Tools menu select Accounts Settings
  3. Click the E-mail tab, and then click New
  4. Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or HTTP. Click Next
  5. Check Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Click Next.
  6. Select Internet E-mail. Click Next
  7. In the Internet E-Mail Settings window, enter your information:
    • Your Name: Your name
    • Account Type: POP3
    • Incoming Mail Server: server your account is hosted on, as mail.domain.tld (For example: mail.example.net)
    • Outgoing Mail Server: server your account is hosted on, as mail.domain.tld (For example: mail.example.net)
    • User Name: Your full email address
    • Password: The password

8. Click the More Settings button

9. On the General tab, all settings are arbitrary

10. Click the Outgoing Server tab

11. Check the option My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and click on Use same settings as my incoming mail server

12. Click the Advanced tab, and check your settings are as follows:

  • Check Leave a copy of messages on the server to keep a copy of the messages received on the server and thus you can restore them in case of any problem

13. Click OK to save the settings

14. Click on Test Account Settings to ensure that the data and settings you have made are correct, then click Next and then Finish
