How to Configure a cPanel Email Client

Overview

After creating an email account in cPanel, you’ll likely want to connect it to an email application like Outlook, Apple Mail, iPhone Mail, or others. This article shows you how to do that using both automatic and manual methods via Webmail.

Note
If your mail client or device is not listed, you can always configure it manually using the settings provided below.

Steps to Configure cPanel Email on Your Device

  1. Log into your Webmail account on the device you want to configure.
  2. Click on “Configure Mail Client” from the Webmail dashboard.
  3. Select the email client you wish to configure (e.g., iPhone, Mac Mail, Outlook).
  4. Choose the appropriate protocol — IMAP (recommended) or POP3 — depending on your preference.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

Manual Configuration Settings

If your client does not support auto-config, use these settings:

  • Username: Your full email address
  • Password: The password you created for the email account
  • Incoming Mail Server:mail.yourdomain.com
    • IMAP Port: 993 (SSL enabled)
    • POP3 Port: 995 (SSL enabled)
  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):mail.yourdomain.com
    • SMTP Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
    • Authentication: Required (use the same email address and password)
