Overview
In cPanel, you have the ability to control access and functionality for each email account. This includes enabling or suspending login access, sending, and receiving capabilities. This can be helpful for managing employee transitions, temporary suspensions, or security policies.
Steps to Manage Email Restrictions in cPanel
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Under the Email section, click Email Accounts.
- In the list of email accounts, locate the address you want to manage and click Manage next to it.
- Scroll down to the Restrictions section.
- From here, you can independently configure:
- Log in: Enable or suspend the ability to access Webmail or email clients.
- Sending Outgoing Email: Allow or block the ability to send emails.
- Receiving Incoming Email: Allow or block receiving new emails.
You can mix and match the restriction settings based on your needs without deleting the email account.
