Overview
If your hosting service uses Plesk, you can access your control panel from the Libyan Spider Client Area at https://my.libyanspider.com and manage your SSL certificate from داخل Plesk. Client area supports direct sign-in to Plesk from the client area, and Plesk provides SSL management under Websites & Domains through its SSL/TLS certificate tools and the SSL It! workflow.
Plesk supports free SSL certificates through Let’s Encrypt, and its SSL It! extension can automatically renew those certificates. Plesk’s support documentation states that a Let’s Encrypt certificate issued this way is valid for 90 days and is auto-renewed by SSL It!.
Before You Start
Make sure:
- You have an active Plesk hosting service
- Your domain points to the correct Plesk server
- The domain is publicly reachable on the internet
- You can log in to the client area at
https://my.libyanspider.com
Plesk specifically advises that, before requesting a Let’s Encrypt certificate, the domain should resolve to the public IP address of the Plesk server.
How to Access Plesk from the Client Area
- Go to
https://my.libyanspider.com - Log in to your client account
- Open Services and choose your hosting service
- Click Log in to Plesk
How to Install Free SSL in Plesk
After logging in to Plesk:
- Go to Websites & Domains
- Select your domain
- Open SSL/TLS Certificates
- Under More options, click Install for the free certificate option
- Enter or confirm the email address for certificate notices
- Select the options you want to secure, such as:
- The main domain
wwwsubdomain- Webmail
- Mail service assignment when applicable
- Click Get it free
Plesk documents this process for Let’s Encrypt issuance and recommends securing the main domain, www, webmail, and assigning the certificate to the mail domain where needed.
How to Confirm SSL Is Active
Once installed, Plesk shows certificate information in the SSL/TLS Certificates area, including the certificate authority and secured components. Plesk also offers options such as Redirect from HTTP to HTTPS and other security settings from the same interface.
Auto-Renewal in Plesk
Plesk states that SSL It! automatically renews free SSL/TLS certificates from Let’s Encrypt in advance of expiration. Plesk’s support documentation also confirms that Let’s Encrypt certificates issued through this method are auto-renewed.
About “Keep websites secured”
Plesk includes a setting called Keep websites secured.
This option is used to regularly try issuing new free Let’s Encrypt certificates for domains, subdomains, aliases, and webmail that do not already have one. Plesk support also notes that domains with Let’s Encrypt certificates already issued manually will continue renewing automatically even if this option is turned off, and that the option is disabled by default unless enabled manually.
Common Reasons SSL Issuance May Fail in Plesk
1. The domain does not resolve to the correct server
Plesk requires the domain to resolve publicly to the Plesk server before Let’s Encrypt can issue a certificate.
2. Port 80 is blocked
Plesk support notes that Let’s Encrypt validation can fail if port 80 (HTTP) is blocked by a firewall or network filter, because the HTTP-01 challenge needs access over port 80.
3. DNS points somewhere else
If DNS for the domain points to another IP, or traffic over HTTP and HTTPS is going to different servers, validation may fail. Plesk specifically highlights mismatched DNS/IP paths as a cause.
4. The site or validation path is inaccessible
If the validation token under /.well-known/acme-challenge/ cannot be reached, the certificate request may fail.
What to Do If SSL Is Not Issued
Please check the following:
- Confirm the domain points to the correct server IP
- Confirm the website opens publicly
- Confirm port 80 is not blocked
- Retry the SSL request in Plesk
- Check whether any CDN, proxy, or firewall is interfering with validation
If the issue continues, contact our support team and include:
- Your domain name
- A screenshot of the error shown in Plesk
- Confirmation of whether your DNS is managed locally or by a third party
