Set up your email account on iPhone

To set up a mail account on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Go to Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
  3. For account type, choose Other.
  4. Enter the following mail account information:
Enter the name you want to appear in the receiver Name                         
Enter your full email address Address
Enter your password Password
You can write any description Description

  6. After filling in the data, click Next, then click on IMAP or POP and enter the following data:

Enter the name you want to appear in the receiver Name                        
Enter your full email address Email
You can write any description Description

7. From the Incoming Mail Server section, fill in the following required information:

mail.yourdomain.com Host Name
Enter your full email address User Name
Enter your password Password

8. From the Outgoing Mail Server section, fill in the following required details:

mail.yourdomain.com Host Name
Enter your full email address User Name
Enter your password Password
Note

If you choose POP3 Account, messages will be stored on the phone only, but if you choose IMAP Account, messages will be stored on the phone and on the server.

9. Click Next, then click Save.

10. Upon completion, you can notice that your account is on the Accounts menu.

11. Go back to the main screen of the device to be able to access your account via the Mail icon.

Set up an email using encrypted communication protocol on port 465 Apple iOS Mail

To reset the email program for iPhone, iPad, or iPod to use an alternate port for the SMTP email protocol, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. From the settings screen, click Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Click on the SMTP server you want to modify.
  4. Make sure to use SSL, and enter port number 465.
  5. Go to Mail, then try to send and receive messages through it.
