How to Update WHOIS Information Using the Client Area

Keeping your WHOIS contact information updated is crucial for maintaining ownership and control of your domain name. Through the Libyan Spider Client Area, you can easily manage and update the registrant, administrative, technical, and billing contact details associated with your domains.

Make sure to update all four contact types to avoid conflicts or outdated data: Registrant, Admin, Tech, and Billing.
If you choose Use Existing Account Contact, ensure your Client Area profile is already updated with the correct information.
Keeping WHOIS data updated helps prevent domain disputes and ensures you receive critical notifications about your domain.

How to Update WHOIS Information

  1. Log in to your account in the Client Area.
  2. From the side menu, click Domains > My Domains.
  3. A list of your domains will appear.
  4. Click the More (three dots) icon next to the domain you wish to update and select Manage Domain.
  5. On the Manage Domain page, scroll down and click Update the WHOIS Contact Information for Your Domain.
  6. The Contact Information page will open:
    • Update the fields as needed for:
      • Registrant Contact
      • Administrative Contact
      • Technical Contact
      • Billing Contact
  7. After making your updates, click Save Changes.

If you prefer, you can choose to use existing account contact information by selecting the appropriate option. This will automatically populate the WHOIS fields with your client area account details.
