How to Transfer a Domain Name To or From Libyan Spider

Overview

Transferring a domain name either from another registrar to Libyan Spider or from Libyan Spider to another registrar allows you to manage your domain name easily through the Client Area. Below are the detailed steps to successfully complete the transfer process.

Transfer Requirements and Procedures

Before starting the transfer process, ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • Remove the Domain Lock from your current registrar.
  • Disable WHOIS Privacy to enable domain data verification.
  • Get the Authorization Code (EPP Code) from your current registrar.
  • Ensure the email address registered in the WHOIS data is valid and accessible to receive the transfer confirmation.

Steps to Transfer a Domain Name to Libyan Spider

  • Log in to your account on the Client Area.
  • From the main menu, navigate to Domain Names > Transfer Domain to Us.
  • A new window with the transfer form will appear.
  • In the Domain Name field, enter the domain name you wish to transfer.
  • Enter the Authorization Code (EPP) you obtained from your current registrar in the Authorization Code field.
  • Click “Order Now” to proceed.
  • Complete the payment process to finalize the request.

Transferring a Domain Name from Libyan Spider to Another Registrar

  • Obtaining the Authorization Code (EPP): Get the EPP Code for your domain name through the Client Area.
  • Removing the Domain Lock: Remove the domain lock feature from your domain name.
  • Following the New Registrar's Instructions: Follow the instructions and guidelines provided by the new registrar to which you are transferring the domain.

Completing the Transfer Process

  • After submitting the transfer request, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address registered in the WHOIS data.
  • Approve the transfer request by clicking the link sent to you.
  • The transfer process may take between 5 to 7 business days, depending on the current registrar's policies.

Important Notes

The domain must have been registered or last transferred more than 60 days ago.
Ensure the domain's expiration date is not imminent, as this may disrupt the transfer process.
Some domain name extensions may require additional procedures according to the current registrar's policies.
