Overview
An FTP account (File Transfer Protocol Account) allows users to transfer files between a computer and a hosting server. It enables uploading, downloading, and managing website files securely via FTP software or a file manager.
In this guide, you will learn how to create an FTP account from the Libyan Spider Client Area.
How to Create an FTP Account
- Log in to your account in the Client Area.
- Navigate to Hosting and Services > My Hosting and Services.
- On the My Hosting and Services page, click on the service you want to create an FTP account for.
- On the Manage Details page, under the Manage Account section, click the FTP Accounts icon.
- The FTP Accounts page will open. Click on Create FTP Account.
- A pop-up window will appear. Enter the following details:
- Login Username: The name used to log in.
- Domain: Select the domain associated with the FTP account.
- Password: Enter a password or click Create Password to generate a strong, random password.
- Directory Path:
- If using cPanel, enter /public_html.
- If using Plesk, enter /httpdocs.
- Quota: Set a storage quota in megabytes, or select Unlimited.
