How to Create Private Nameservers in the Client Area

Overview

Private nameservers (also known as custom nameservers) allow you to use your own domain to serve as your DNS authority. Instead of using generic hosting provider nameservers, you can assign your domain (e.g., ns1.yourdomain.com) to your server's IP address. This adds branding and more control over DNS configurations.

Note
Premium DNS (Cloud Hosting) is a paid service and must be subscribed to separately.
The DNS Manager feature is available in your Client Area only if you have subscribed to Premium DNS.
DNS zone updates may take time to propagate globally (up to 24–48 hours).

Steps to Create Private Nameservers

  1. Log in to your account in the Client Area.
  2. From the top menu, navigate to Domain Names > My Domain Names.
  3. A list of your domains will appear.
  4. Click the three dots icon next to the domain you wish to modify and select Manage Domain.
  5. The Manage Domain Name window will open.
  6. From the left-hand side menu, click Private Nameservers.
  7. Click on + Add.
  8. Enter your desired nameserver (e.g., ns1.yourdomain.com) and the corresponding IP address of your hosting server.
  9. Click Save Changes after each entry.
    • Example:
      • ns1.yourdomain.com → 192.0.2.1
      • ns2.yourdomain.com → 192.0.2.2
  10. Finally, add NS and A records for the new nameservers in your domain’s DNS zone.
