How to reset cPanel password from WHM

Overview

The WHM (Web Host Manager) control dashboard helps you to create and manage the cPanel accounts. In this lesson, we will guide you on how to change cPanel account password from WHM panel.

Note

You can reset your cPanel account password from WHM panel if you have a Virtual Private Servers (VPS) or Dedicated Servers service.

Reset cPanel password in WHM

  1. Login into your WHM account via URL by entering the server's IP address or domain followed by :port (for example, https://198.51.100.1:2087 or https://example.com:2087).
  2. In the left side menu, scroll down to Account Information section and click on List Accounts. It will display all the cPanel accounts under your WHM panel.
  3. From the accounts list, click on + icon next to the cPanel user for which you want to reset the password.
  4. Enter the new password in Change Password field and click on Change.
