Overview
Reset your Linux VPS operating system administrator password—usually the root password—from the Client Area using Change Password.
1. Access Your VPS Service in the Client Area
- Sign in to the Client Area.
- Open Cloud Service from the menu or dashboard.
- Choose your Linux VPS from the list.
- On its management page, select Change Password.
2. Check whether password reset is available
The system automatically checks your VPS and displays the appropriate message.
If this warning appears, you cannot continue with the password reset. Please contact Support and identify the affected VPS.
If your VPS supports the feature, proceed to enter your new password.
3. Enter and submit your new password
- Enter a strong, unique password.
- Use 13 or more characters, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Save your new password securely.
- Submit the request using the confirmation button shown in the dialog.
- Wait for the system to report the result.
4. Sign in with the new password
After the change succeeds, use your new password to sign in to the VPS with its operating system administrator account, usually root.
If the change fails or you cannot sign in afterward, contact Support.
