Domain Management Actions

The Domain Details page includes multiple domain management tools and actions.

Auto-Renew

The Auto-Renew option allows users to enable or disable automatic renewal invoice generation.

How Auto-Renew Works

When enabled:

  • A renewal invoice is automatically generated before expiration
  • The invoice is sent to the registered email address
  • The domain renewal process still requires manual invoice payment

Auto-Renew does not automatically charge or renew the domain unless the invoice is paid.

Contact Details

The Contact Details section allows users to update the domain WHOIS contact information.

Available Contact Types

  • Registrant Contact
  • Administrative Contact
  • Technical Contact
  • Billing Contact

Accurate WHOIS information is important for domain ownership verification and communication purposes.

DNS Settings

The DNS Settings section allows users to manage DNS records for the domain.

Supported DNS Records

  • A Records
  • CNAME Records
  • MX Records
  • TXT Records
  • Additional standard DNS records

Important Notes

DNS management should only be used when the domain is using standard DNS hosting.

If the domain is connected to:

  • cPanel
  • Plesk
  • Custom Nameservers

DNS records should instead be managed from the corresponding hosting or DNS provider platform.

Nameservers

The Nameservers section allows users to configure the domain’s authoritative nameservers.

Available Options

  • Use default nameservers
  • Configure custom nameservers

Common Use Cases

  • Connecting domains to external hosting providers
  • Using third-party DNS services
  • Custom infrastructure configurations

Private Nameservers

The Private Nameservers section allows users to create and manage branded nameservers for their domain.

Examples

  • ns1.yourdomain.ly
  • ns2.yourdomain.ly

Available Actions

  • Create private nameservers
  • Modify nameserver IP addresses
  • Delete private nameservers

Registrar Lock

The Registrar Lock feature helps protect domains against unauthorized transfers or modifications.

Available Actions

  • Enable registrar lock
  • Disable registrar lock

It is strongly recommended to keep Registrar Lock enabled for additional domain security.

Get EPP Code

The Get EPP Code option allows users to retrieve the domain transfer authorization code.

Common Use Cases

  • Transferring domains to another registrar
  • Domain ownership migration

The EPP code is sensitive information and should only be shared with trusted parties.

Internal Transfer

The Internal Transfer feature allows users to transfer a domain to another Libyan Spider account.

Transfer Process

  1. Enter the recipient account email address
  2. The recipient must have an active registered account
  3. The recipient receives a transfer request
  4. The recipient must approve the request to complete the transfer

Additional Features

  • Cancel pending transfer requests before approval
  • Track transfer request status

⚠️ Important: Once the transfer request is approved and completed, the action cannot be reversed.
