The Domain Transfer section allows users to transfer an existing domain name from another registrar to Libyan Spider directly through the LS App.

During the transfer process, the domain is automatically renewed for an additional 1 year, according to the supported domain extension policies.

Transfer a Domain to Libyan Spider

Users can initiate a domain transfer by entering the domain name and selecting the appropriate domain extension.

Transfer Process

  1. Enter the domain name.
  2. Select the domain extension from the available extensions list.
  3. Click Check Transfer Eligibility.

The system will verify whether the domain is eligible for transfer.

Before continuing, the domain must meet the transfer requirements.

Common Eligibility Requirements

  • The domain must be unlocked
  • The domain must not be within a restricted transfer period
  • The domain must have a valid EPP/Auth code
  • Privacy protection may need to be disabled
  • The domain must be active and eligible for transfer

If the domain is eligible, users can continue to the next step.

Transfer Configuration

On the next screen, users can configure the transfer settings.

Nameserver Configuration

Users may:

  • Keep existing nameservers
  • Update nameservers during the transfer process

Supported Options

  • Default nameservers
  • Custom nameservers

Hosting Service Selection

Users may optionally select hosting services during the transfer process if hosting is required for the domain.

EPP Code

The EPP Code (Authorization Code) is required to complete the transfer.

Important Information

  • The EPP code must be obtained from the current registrar
  • The code verifies domain ownership authorization
  • Transfers cannot proceed without a valid EPP code

Registrar Lock & Privacy Protection

Before initiating the transfer, users should ensure the following settings are disabled at the current registrar:

Required Actions

  • Disable Registrar Lock
  • Disable Privacy Protection (if enabled)

Some registrars may block transfer requests while these protections are active.

Transfer Completion

Once all details are correctly submitted:

  • The transfer request is initiated
  • The domain enters the transfer process
  • The domain renewal for 1 year is included as part of the transfer

Transfer Duration

Most domain transfers are completed within:

5–6 days

Transfer times may vary depending on:

  • Domain extension
  • Current registrar policies
  • Registry processing times

Important Notes

  • Domain transfer availability depends on the domain extension and registry rules
  • Some domain extensions may have additional transfer requirements
  • Transfer fees may include a one-year domain renewal
  • Incorrect EPP codes may delay or reject the transfer request
