This guide explains Monarx Server Protection for VPS and Dedicated Servers. Its file-security reports appear under Active Protection in the Monarx dashboard.
A server in detection mode can identify and record suspicious or malicious files without automatically cleaning or quarantining them.
Automatic remediation adds actions for supported findings when protection is enabled. The exact action depends on the finding and the protection configuration.
| State | How to interpret it |
|---|---|
| Detection only | Malware detection is running, but automatic remediation is off |
| Automatic remediation on | The reported automatic-remediation setting is enabled |
| Awaiting setup | Your purchase or service setup still needs to be completed |
| Unavailable | The current state could not be confirmed |
Detection mode alone does not mean your server is infected. Review actual findings and event details. Equally, detecting an issue does not mean it has been removed.
What to do
- Open your server in the Client Area.
- Check the Active Protection summary.
- Review any available findings.
- If you want automatic remediation, review the eligible Active Protection offering.
- After ordering, check that setup and activation have completed.
- Contact Support if the setting remains off, pending, or unavailable.
A connected agent is needed for operational reporting and protection through this integration. If the page says the feature is available for your server but setup is incomplete, do not assume scanning is already running.
Purchasing an addon is not confirmation that every existing finding has been resolved. Check the recorded result or ask Support.
