This guide covers the Monarx security services: Monarx Website Protection and Monarx Website Threat Shield for hosting accounts, and Monarx Server Protection, Monarx Server ThreatShield, and Monarx Server SmartWAF for eligible VPS and server services. Available features and reports depend on your service, subscription, and completed setup.
Some services provide protection controls in the security widget. The available controls depend on the feature, hosting type, account settings, and addon.

| Automatic remediation on | Automatic remediation is enabled according to the reported setting |
| Detection only / automatic remediation off | Detection may continue without automatic cleanup |
| ThreatShield protection on/off | The reported runtime-protection setting |
| Unavailable | The current setting could not be confirmed |
Only use the controls shown for your service. A shared server-wide setting may be managed by LS rather than controlled individually by each account. SmartWAF currently has no customer on/off switch.
Before and after a change
- Confirm you opened the correct service and feature.
- Read what the action will change.
- Make the change only if you intend that result.
- Wait for the response.
- Check the displayed state again.
Turning a protection feature off can stop its protective actions. Do not turn it off simply to dismiss an alert or troubleshoot an unexplained event.
If a change fails, do not assume it succeeded or repeatedly retry. Note the message and time, then contact Support.
Provide your service reference, feature, action attempted, expected result, and a redacted screenshot. Do not include passwords or API credentials.
