How to Create a Subdomain from the Client Area

Content
  1. Overview

Overview

Creating subdomains allows you to organize and separate different sections of your website, such as blog.example.com or shop.example.com, each pointing to its own directory on the server. This feature is available through your hosting control panel in the Client Area.

Important Note
Make sure the document root directory is properly named and corresponds to the content you want to display. Incorrect settings can lead to inaccessible subdomains or broken links.

Steps to Create a Subdomain

  1. Log in to your account on the Client Area.
  2. From the main menu, go to Hosting and Services > My Hosting and Services.
  3. A window will appear showing a list of your active hosting services.
  4. Click on the hosting service you want to manage.
  5. A new window will appear with your hosting control panel features.
  6. Click on the Subdomains icon.
  7. Click on Create Subdomain.
  8. In the Subdomain Name field, enter the desired subdomain (e.g., blog).
  9. In the Document Root field, enter the directory where the subdomain’s files will be stored (e.g., /public_html/blog).
  10. Click Create to finish the process.

Additional Information

Once created, your subdomains will be listed in the Subdomains List section. From there, you can:

  • Delete any subdomain you no longer need.
  • Forward a subdomain to a different URL if needed.
