Overview

The Security Notifications feature is a system that provides real-time security alerts related to your services with Libyan Spider. It also allows you to take immediate action when security events occur.

How to Access Security Notifications

  1. Log in to Your Client Area: Use your credentials to access your account.
  2. Navigate to the Support Section: From the side menu, click on Support to open a dropdown menu.
  3. Select Security Notifications: Click on Security Notifications from the dropdown to open the Alert List page.

Features of Security Notifications

The system provides a set of tools to effectively manage and monitor your account security:

  • Alert List: Allows you to view a comprehensive list of all recent security alerts related to your account.
  • Whitelist Option: If you receive a security alert via email, you can add this activity to the whitelist (to stop receiving future alerts for it) by clicking the “opt-in” link included within the email.

Types of Monitored Events:

The system currently monitors the following activities and sends immediate notifications regarding them:

  1. cPanel Suspicious Login Alert: Triggered when an unusual login attempt to the control panel is detected.
  2. External Email Forwarder Creation: Triggered when a mail forwarder is set up to an email address outside the domain.
  3. Plesk Suspicious Login Alert: Monitors for unauthorized access attempts to the Plesk panel.
  4. Suspicious Email Subject Alert: Triggered when emails with subjects potentially indicating malicious activity are detected.
  5. Unprotected Port Detection Alert: Triggered when a port is found open to the public without sufficient protection.
  6. Vulnerable Service Detection Alert: Triggered when services are identified as running on outdated or insecure versions.
  7. Open Database Detection Alert: Triggered when a database is found exposed to the public internet.

Stay informed and secure by monitoring your security notifications and taking quick action when needed.
