Overview
When you manage email accounts on your server, you may need to reset or change a password for one of your email accounts. You can reset or change your email passwords through your cPanel. The steps below will walk you through the steps to change an email account password.
changing an email password in cPanel
- Login into your cPanel.
- Click the Email Accounts icon in the Mail section.
- Click the manage icon corresponding to the mail want to that you want to change its password.
- The manage an email account page will appear, enter the new password in the New Password box.
- Click the Update Email Settings button.
Note
Use a strong password, which contains letters, numbers, and large and small symbols the system categorizes the password you enter as 100 points. 0 indicates a weak password, while 100 indicates a very strong password
