Delete a Plugin Safely
Before deletion:
- Confirm that the website no longer uses the plugin.
- Create a backup.
- Deactivate the plugin.
- Test the website.
- Delete it only after confirming that it is no longer required.
Deleting a plugin may not remove its database tables, uploaded files, or stored settings.
Recommended Practices
- Remove unused plugins.
- Avoid duplicate plugins that provide the same function.
- Do not use nulled, pirated, or untrusted plugin packages.
- Replace abandoned plugins.
- Keep valid licences for premium plugins.
- Do not install a plugin solely because it appears in search results.
