Overview
Creating subdomains allows you to organize and separate different sections of your website, such as blog.example.com
or shop.example.com
, each pointing to its own directory on the server. This feature is available through your hosting control panel in the Client Area.
Steps to Create a Subdomain
- Log in to your account on the Client Area.
- From the main menu, go to Hosting and Services > My Hosting and Services.
- A window will appear showing a list of your active hosting services.
- Click on the hosting service you want to manage.
- A new window will appear with your hosting control panel features.
- Click on the Subdomains icon.
- Click on Create Subdomain.
- In the Subdomain Name field, enter the desired subdomain (e.g.,
blog
). - In the Document Root field, enter the directory where the subdomain’s files will be stored (e.g.,
/public_html/blog
). - Click Create to finish the process.
Additional Information
Once created, your subdomains will be listed in the Subdomains List section. From there, you can:
- Delete any subdomain you no longer need.
- Forward a subdomain to a different URL if needed.
