How to Redirect Your Domain Using Client Area

Overview

This guide explains how to redirect your domain using the Client Area. You can set up either a temporary (302) or permanent (301) redirect.

  • Temporary Redirect (302): Recommended for short-term changes, as it does not cache the redirect.
  • Permanent Redirect (301): Used for permanent changes, stored in browser memory.

Redirecting Your Domain to Another Webpage

  • Log in to Your Client Area
  • Go to Cloud Services > My Hosting and Services.
  • Locate the hosting package you want to manage and click on it.
  • From the Manage Account side menu, select Domain Redirects.
  • Click Create Forwarder. A pop-up form will appear.
  • Fill in the required details:
Redirect Type: Choose between temporary (302) or permanent (301).

Domain Name and Directory: Select the domain and directory to redirect.

Target Directory: Enter the destination URL.
  • Redirection Options:
Only redirect with wwwRedirects users who include “www”.
Redirect with or without wwwRedirects all users.
Do not redirect wwwUsers typing “www” will not be redirected.

Apply the Changes

  • Click Add to confirm and apply the redirect.

Use Wild Card Redirect (Optional)

Enables redirecting all files in a directory to the same file name in the target directory.
Example: example1.com/pic.jpg redirects to example.com/pic.jpg.
