Overview
In this guide, you will learn how to install an SSL certificate within your cPanel environment, ensuring your website's security and trustworthiness.
Prerequisites:
Before proceeding with the installation, ensure you have the following files readily available:
- Certificate file (CRT)
- Private key (KEY)
Installing the SSL Certificate File
- Log in to cPanel Account.
- Navigate to the Security section: Open SSL/TLS Manager, then click on Manage SSL Sites (on the right-hand side of the page).
- Navigate to Install an SSL Website and select the Domain name from a dropdown menu that you want to install SSL certificate for.
- Paste the following:
- Certificate (CRT), open the certificate file and copy the entire content, including the —–BEGIN CERTIFICATE—– and —–END CERTIFICATE—– lines, and paste it into the Certificate: (CRT) field.
- Private Key, copy its entire content, including —–BEGIN PRIVATE KEY—– and —–END PRIVATE KEY—– lines, and paste it into the Private Key (KEY) field.
- Certificate Authority Bundle (CABUNDLE), this is optional but recommended for full chain validation. Click the Install Certificate.
